Individual and Group Classes by Certified Yoga Instructor.
Yoga is an ancient healing art form. It is derived from Ayurvedic Medicine as a way to rejuvenate the body and prolong life. It helps you become more aware of your breathing, posture, alignment and patterns of movement. It helps you to become more mindful of your environment. This is one of the foremost reasons why people want to start yoga - to feel free, be more energetic, be happier and more peaceful.
We offer one-on-one yoga as part of a comprehensive physiotherapy program. With the assessment by a Registered Physiotherapist, and regular follow-ups with a supervising physiotherapist, your yoga therapy program will be billed as part of your physiotherapy treatment, and most extended health care plans have physiotherapy coverage.
You do not need to be flexible to do yoga! The amazing thing about an individualized yoga program is that it provides balance to your body. If you are hypermobile, it can provide balance, stability and strength. If you are stiff and restricted in mobility, it will help to improve circulation and flexibility. If you physically feel good, it can provide mental stability, peace and balance as well. It has the power to benefit us all!
