This is why it is important to understand the healthy progression of becoming pregnant and delivering a baby as it has a lifetime's worth of effects (mostly good). Following an ACL tear, most people will have a surgery or undergo extensive physical rehab for a significant time period. After a woman goes through a very laborious process of delivering a baby, her health is often neglected as the baby's care is now in the forefront.
We are here to help support the mother in this very joyous and life-altering experience.
We do functional assessments and provide treatment plan to ensure that the mom-to-be is aligned and is feeling physically well for the duration of her pregnancy. Some of that treatment may involvemanual therapy, prenatal yoga therapy with a Certified Yoga Instructor, and prescription exercises to make sure all the right muscles are strong, flexible and coordinated. We help to prevent problems that may arise during the normal process of pregnancy and labour & delivery.
